Introduction
Acorn by Synergie is recruiting a Senior Structural Engineer to join an established and growing multidisciplinary engineering consultancy in Cardiff.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-respected consultancy with a varied project portfolio, offering the chance to take ownership of projects, work closely with clients and contribute to the continued growth of the business.
The successful candidate will work across a diverse range of structural engineering projects, including residential developments, commercial buildings, industrial structures, refurbishments and bespoke structural designs.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and deliver structural engineering projects from concept through to completion.
Undertake structural analysis, calculations and detailed design.
Design structures using steel, reinforced concrete, timber and masonry.
Manage project delivery, ensuring work is completed to programme, budget and required standards.
Liaise with clients, architects, contractors and other design professionals.
Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and technicians.
Attend client meetings and site visits where required.
Review designs and ensure compliance with relevant British Standards and Building Regulations.
Requirements
Essential:
Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
Significant experience working within a structural engineering consultancy.
Technical knowledge of structural design and analysis.
Experience designing in steel, concrete, timber and masonry.
Ability to manage projects independently and take responsibility for technical delivery.
Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
Desirable:
Chartered status with IStructE or ICE, or working towards chartership.
Experience using structural design software.
Experience using Revit.
