Acorn by Synergie promotes James Jones to Regional Manager of Business Services Wales
Acorn by Synergie has promoted James Jones to Regional Manager of Business Services Wales, recognising almost a decade of commitment, progression and achievement with the leading recruitment company.
James, who will celebrate 10 years with Acorn by Synergie in April, has worked his way through the business since joining as an Apprentice Resource Officer in 2017. Having had no previous experience in either recruitment or construction, he quickly built his knowledge and expertise, progressing through a series of roles including Junior Consultant, Consultant, Senior Consultant and Manager before taking on his latest position.
Most recently, James held the role of Sector Manager within Acorn by Synergie’s Construction division, where he developed a strong reputation for delivering exceptional service, building long-standing relationships with clients and candidates, and supporting the continued growth of the business across south Wales.
His new role marks the next stage of a career that has seen him gain extensive knowledge of the recruitment, construction and building services sectors. As Regional Manager Building Services – Wales, James will be responsible for overseeing commercial analysis and the growth and performance of Acorn’s Building Services division across Wales.
A key part of his role will be identifying new business opportunities, developing relationships with prospective clients and strengthening the partnerships Acorn already has with businesses across the country. He will also ensure the division continues to deliver the high standards of service that Acorn by Synergie is known for, while supporting the company’s wider growth within the Welsh construction and building services sectors.
Working across the whole of Wales, James will cover an extensive territory stretching from Newport to Pembroke, and north towards Aberystwyth and beyond. He will report directly to Marc Jones, Director of Operations, and play an important role in developing Acorn’s presence and relationships across the region.
For James, the promotion represents the culmination of almost 10 years of learning, development and progression within the business.
“Starting off right at the bottom, I'd never done anything in recruitment or construction before, so I learned everything there was to know,” said James. “I slowly worked my way through the ranks, from Resource, Junior Consultant, Consultant, Senior Consultant and Manager, to now taking on my new title.
“To be coming up to 10 years with Acorn in April, and to work for a company that is so passionate about what it does, is a real pleasure.”
James said the opportunity to work across Wales was one of the aspects of his new role he was particularly looking forward to.
“I think travelling around Wales is one of my favourite parts of working for Acorn, as it showcases our commitment to our clients and helping candidates get into work. Delivering a high level of service has always been important to us, and we want to continue building on that.
“Some of our client relationships have been with us for 15 to 20 years, which shows the value we place on long-term partnerships. Helping candidates secure opportunities through these clients can really change lives, and that's something we're incredibly proud of.”
James’s progression from apprentice to Regional Manager reflects the career development opportunities available within Acorn by Synergie, while his promotion underlines the value of his experience, industry knowledge and long-standing relationships.
In his new position, James will build on that experience as he leads the continued development of the Building Services division across Wales, working closely with clients, candidates and colleagues to identify new opportunities and deliver sustainable growth.
