Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting a Senior procurement lead, to join a growing, forward-thinking business near Swindon. This permanent role offers a hybrid working model and requires occasional international travel, so candidates must hold a valid passport and full UK driving licence.

Key Details

• Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5pm

• Salary: £38,000 - £40,000 per annum (DOE) + performance-related bonus

• Location: Office near Swindon (hybrid working)

• Contract: Permanent, full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Lead procurement of goods and services to meet commercial and operational targets.

• Drive strategic sourcing and manage supplier relationships.

• Lead, coach, and mentor junior procurement team members.

• Negotiate and manage supplier contracts, pricing, and rebate agreements.

• Collaborate with Quantity Surveyors, Estimators, and other internal stakeholders.

• Support procurement for key retail fit-out and construction projects.

• Monitor supplier performance, delivery targets, and pricing compliance.

• Develop procurement schedules based on project specifications and drawings.

• Ensure adherence to internal processes and health & safety requirements.

Skills & Experience Required

• Strong experience in a buying or procurement role.

• Excellent Excel skills and general IT competency.

• Proven ability to build supplier relationships and negotiate effectively.

• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.

• CIPS, CIOB, or RICS qualification (or working towards) desirable.

• Full UK driving licence required.

• Minimum GCSE-level education.

• Willingness to travel internationally as required.
