Role: Tea Room Assistant (Interim)

Location: Barnstaple

Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour

Contract: Temporary - Part time

Acorn by Synergie are recruiting for a Tea Room Assistant for a role based in Barnstaple on a part time, temporary basis.

This role will include assisting with the provision of the tea room service at the Museum of Barnstaple and North Devon and carrying out other Front of House duties as required.

Working hours will be 09:15 - 17:15.

Job Duties:

· Providing a friendly and professional welcome to museum and tea-room visitors

· Preparing and serving hot and cold food

· Taking orders from tea room customers and working on the till

· Cleaning tea room and kitchen as required

· Clearing and cleaning tables

· Some stock ordering & monitoring

Person Specification:

· General education to GCSE standard

· Previous catering experience (preferred but not essential)

· Must be numerate and able to operate a computerised till

· Awareness of food hygiene

· Good customer care skills

· Able to work on Saturdays and in school holidays and evenings as required
