Branston was formed back in 1968 as a co-operative of farmers who realised the many benefits of working together. The company has grown and evolved over the years. We now handle over 350,000 tonnes of fresh potatoes a year and employ over 850 people at our three UK sites.

Our South West site is a centre of excellence for New and Salad potatoes. Production really ramps up here through the summer as the new season crops are harvested across Cornwall and Somerset. Nestled down the leafy lanes near Ilminster, the Branston site has benefited from major investment in recent years including state-of-the-art machinery for maximum efficiency.

Fresh potatoes are a staple that is in nearly everyone’s weekly shopping. It’s our job to make sure that our retail and wholesale customers get the potatoes that their customers want. So, our focus is on delivering quality products, on time, every time.

Whether in our factories and offices, or out in the fields and on the roads, everyone has a vital role to play. As individuals we work hard to ensure our jobs are done to the best of our abilities, but it’s working together that helps us to achieve more.
